Many families were fortunate enough to receive financial assistance to rebuild their homes. However, many flood survivors, most of whom are elderly, are still struggling to secure a safe living environment.
The mission of the Southeastern Massachusetts Long-Term Recovery Group (SMLTRG) is to help our neighbors who have been unable to help themselves. SMLTRG is a partnership between local non-profits, state and national agencies, and concerned citizens dedicated to assisting Spring 2010 flood survivors of Plymouth, Norfolk, and Bristol counties. Every Thursday, our group meets in Brockton to discuss our accomplishments and future plans.
