Self Help, Inc. (SHI) has a position available for full time, seasonal Mail/Documentation Clerk in the Fuel Assistance Program; the position is for our Brockton office. This is a rewarding opportunity to ensure that SHI clients obtain available services and financial stability. You will be responsible for ensuring that all incoming documentation is opened and distributed to proper destination. Incoming documents from multiple sources, keep track and document quality. Follow up with clients when needed.
You will open all incoming documents, make copies of materials brought in by prospective clients, provide information regarding a client’s application, ensure documents are matched with existing applications, enter information into the client database, and maintain chronological order of files awaiting review and approval. In addition you will provide a welcoming environment for those seeking assistance and/or information and provide coverage for reception and Information Specialists as needed.
Must possess ability to interact well with a cross section of the population, effectively communicate program requirements, good basic mathematical skills, and be computer literate, multi-lingual is a plus.
