Translator
Self Help Inc., Head Start Preschool Program- Brockton, MA
$18.00 – $20.00/hour
15 – 20 hrs. per week / up to 41 weeks per year
We are seeking a translator to assist our Family Service and Education Staff in providing in-person translation for Head Start families. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both Haitian Creole and English. This position requires supporting staff with oral translation during interactions with children and families.
- Facilitate effective communication between Head Start staff and parents.
- Ensure confidentiality and privacy of sensitive information. Brockton site.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Minimum High School Diploma/HISET.
- Fluent in both Haitian Creole and English.
- Must have a valid MA driver’s license.
- Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs.
Salary is dependent on education and experience.
